Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination is a specialized service which requires expertise with separation/divorce, and particularly suited to high conflict, post separation circumstances.

The Parenting Coordinator will have a number of responsibilities related to following an agreed upon or court ordered parenting plan, and the resolution of parenting issues.  The Parenting Coordinator will assist the parents communicate regarding the best interests of the children, interpret the parenting plan, monitor therapeutic inputs, help resolve parenting issues that do not include changes in custody (decision making) or substantive changes either increase or decrease in a parents time with the children.  If a parenting issue cannot be resolved through a discussion/mediative process, an impasse may be called and the Parenting Coordinator will resolve such an issue in accordance with THE ARBITRATION ACT S.O. 1991, c.17 and the FAMILY LAW ACT R.S.O. 1990, c.F.3, and the FAMILY STATUTE LAW AMENDMENT ACT, 2006, S.O. 2001 c. 1.
